Do dogs have what we call "Belly Buttons"?

So in an article I read on dogster, it raised the question: "Do dogs have belly buttons"? If dogs have belly buttons, where are they located?

In this article it stated "All placental mammals, of which humans are only one species, an umbilical cord is a necessary part of typical gestation."

So, in humans we bare a scar "known as our belly button" which is a physical reminder that we were in utero-womb for nine months before birth. Therefore in dogs (or any species) that would make sense because that essentially is our life line during gestation. 

Well dogs are physiologically different from humans so the question seems plausible that it would create curiosity in one's mind and the fact that following a successful whelping, the Dam (mother of puppies) removes the umbilical cord from each puppy. They too have a scar on their bellies, but generally flat compared to that of a human navel.

As far as it goes regarding belly buttons, the answer to the question is "Yes" all species of placental mammals have belly buttons with the exception of egg layers and those with pouches, they have no need for an umbilical cord.
